Reflection

In this class, I learnt how to make presentation and blogs. I enjoyed them because I like making presentations. In my junior high school and high school, we often made presentations and showed it in front of my friends, so I'm used to making presentations. This class has many good points, for example, we can find new information such as interesting festivals, about NUFS, good Nagoya foods and so on. If we don't have such chance, we won't know about great and useful information. I'm happy to have this class. I think there are no bad points in this Internet English course because I can't find them!! I think learning how to make presentation is really useful for us when we get a job. In companies, we may make some presentations and show it in front of our boss. If we have good experiences, making presentation will go smoothly. My goal of next semester is to make really good presentation and have good pronunciation, so I must study harder than this year.

Teaching Materials in LTC

I’ll introduce about teaching materials in LTC. In LTC, you can use “Rosetta world”, “supper subtitles”, “Chinese pronunciations” and you can watch CNN and BBC channel by computers. Especially, I want to recommend you super subtitles and Chinese pronunciations. “Super subtitles” is called “cho-jimaku” in Japanese. In this software, you can learn English by watching movies. All subtitles are showed and you can practice your pronunciation. There are many good movies, for example, you can watch Harry Potter series, ‘Catch Me If You Can’, ‘Oceans 13’, and ‘Addam’s Family’ and so on. You can enjoy studying English because watching movies is interesting for everyone!
Next is about “Chinese pronunciations”. This software, you can check your pronunciations weather it is correct or not. It records your voice and shows it as a graph, so you can check easily by yourself. If you use this software, you can correct your pronunciation without Chinese teacher. My friend who is studying Chinese sais “this soft is interesting, why don’t you try?”

How to get taxi

I’ll introduce you about how to get taxi.

From train stations or airports, go to the taxi stand and line up. In the street, you look for a taxi which has an orange light on its roof. It is a sign which the taxi is empty.　When you see an empty taxi, raise your hand and call it. The backdoor opens and closes automatically, so stand back and wait until it opens. The right backdoor doesn’t open automatically. Get in the taxi and tell the driver where you want to go or show them the address written in Japanese of your destination. Before you get out of the taxi, pay the charge. No tip is necessary. Wait until the door opens and get out of the taxi.
Most of drivers don't speak English, so it is highly recommended that you have the address of your destination written in Japanese or have a map. Taxis are pretty expensive in Japan, especially between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m., when the meter adds extra charges. When you call a taxi from a restaurant or other places, you are required to pay extra charges.

Firework Festival

I'll introduce you about place of this festival and famous foods. Firework festival is held at Chios Island in Greece. It is 200km far from Greece mainland. Greece is located in Mediterranean.












We can go Greece by using a connecting fright from Narita airport. I recommend using British airways. It cost 77,000 yen, and it is a round trip fare. Connecting airport is at London. If you want tot stay at London, you can do it.

Chios is famous for Mastic Gum. It is made in only Chios.

It has Hinoki flavor. This gum is good for our health, so it is called tear of Christ by local people.

Machu Pichu

I’ll talk you about the story of Machu Picchu. Machu Picchu means “Old Peak”. It is 2,075 meters above sea level so we can’t see it from foot of a mountain.

This man is Hiram Bingham. He is an explorer and he discovered it in 1911.

There are many mysteries of Machu Picchu. This city is not a normal one. This is like a summer resort or a villa for the nobility.

There is a role as a shrine to worship a god of sun too. People who lived in Machu Picchu were sun worshipers.

KidZania

I'll show you about KIdZania's location, how to get there and about reservation.

We can go to KidZania by car of train.
When you use the car, please get off Kobe line highway at Mukogawa. If you use the train, you ride Hanshin Umeda station to Koshien station. It takes us fo 15min.

When you go to KidZania, you have to make a reservation. To reserve, you can use website, mobile phone and tekephone.

This is an attention.
Kidzania is the park for children under 15-year-old. Children only can try future jobs.
So we can't play at KidZania.

Setting: In the washroom, there are 2 men tying with chain.

Recommendation: This is a horrible movie. Many of scenes contain fear. But this story is difficult and deep. Maybe someone hate like this story. But I like it!




2. United 93

Type: crime history drama

Setting: In hijacking airplane

Recommendation: I could know about 9.11 from this movie. United 93 was only plane that didn’t reach the target. The passengers get cooperation and fight against the terrorists. I was moved by their courage. I thought we mustn’t forget about 9.11.





3. LAPUTA: Castle in the Sky

Recommendation: I like it best in the ghible's movie. In this movie, there is a robot, battle with their laser beam. I like it because it is cool and kind. This robot tries to keep environment. And the castle is so cool, too. Inside the castle is so complex. Maybe you have seen it before, but I think you should see it again and again!
